Parachuting Rainbows!

Coralie
cut some Rainbow shapes from cards which we coloured in. We then stuck a paper
tabard on to the Rainbows. Coralie had already cut lots of wool up into
lengths which we stuck on to the
backs
of the rainbows. We tied the other end onto paper towels and stuck a bit
of blue tack on to their backs to make them a bit heavier.
When
we had all made our parachuting Rainbows we threw them up in to the air.
Some of them floated down - others crashed!
Coralie's notes:
The paper dolls were cut from card and were about 10cm
high. I cut the tabards out from paper before the meeting to save
time. I found the best material for the parachutes was kitchen paper, 1
sheet per rainbow.
The wool was cut into lengths of about 20cm, 4 per
parachute. Wool was easier for the rainbows to glue onto their dolls but
cotton would have been lighter.
