Rainbows have been in existence now for 17 years and, although extremely successful, it has been recognised that perhaps the girls are not always challenged enough, especially the older Rainbows. A little more structure may be needed to ensure that the Rainbows needs are being met. Redhill Rainbows started in 1997 and we made up our openings, closings, ceremonies and songs as we went along. This made it difficult for the girls when we met with other Rainbow groups who had their own songs and ways of doing things. Whilst we will still keep our individuality it is hoped that the new programmes will create many common areas between the units.
